DO YOU PHOTOGRAPH PETS?
Yes, I do offer pet portrait sessions and love working with animals of all types! You can find details here.
Pets are also welcome to come with you and be included in your solo, couple, or family photo sessions.
There are a couple things to consider when including your pet in your photoshoot. First, please consider if your pet is comfortable around strangers and how cooperative they may be while posing. Will they look towards the camera if called to or through the aid of a toy or treat? Including a pet in your session may require more time to get the most ideal photographs in which you and your pet both have great expressions, so you may wish to purchase a package that includes more time.

WHERE WILL MY PHOTOS BE CAPTURED? DO YOU TRAVEL?
Your photo session will take place at a location that is mutually agreeable for both of us and lends itself well to capturing your photographs. This could be your home, a nearby park, wooded area, field, downtown area, or another creative location. Natural light is preferred, but I can accommodate indoor locations as well.
I am based a few miles west of Historic Downtown Lancaster, Pennsylvania and will travel for free within a reasonable distance depending on your photo package. If you have questions concerning whether or not I will photograph in a particular location or region, please do not hesitate to contact me.
Finally, I am willing to travel greater distances depending on your request and with compensation for travel.
IS A DEPOSIT REQUIRED TO BOOK MY PHOTO SESSION? HOW DO I PAY FOR MY PHOTO SESSION?
Yes, portrait sessions (solo, couple, family, and pet) require a 20% deposit to secure your photo session date and time. This deposit is non-refundable if you cancel your session, however, the deposit will be honored if you reschedule your photo session due to weather or personal reasons. The remaining 80% is due at the time of or prior your photo session.
Wedding packages require a 50% deposit along with a signed contract to secure your date and time. This deposit is non-refundable. The remaining 50% is due one week prior to your wedding date.
Event photography coverage and commercial photography sessions do not require a deposit. An invoice for payment will be provided following the event or commercial session. A contract may be required to book these sessions and cancellation fees may apply.
Payments: An invoice will be sent for both deposit and remainder payments via Square. These invoices can be paid via credit card with no account needed. Payments can also be made with a personal check or cash.
Final images will not be delivered without full payment.
WHAT SHOULD I DO TO PREPARE FOR MY PHOTO SESSION?
Though not required, it can be helpful to do some research on poses you may like to replicate during your shoot. For instance, if I am capturing engagement photos of you and your significant other, try a Google search or searching on Pinterest for “engagement photo ideas” or “engagement photo poses.” Save the ones you love, and email or text them to me prior to your session, so I can help you achieve something similar. Also, consider in advance what you might wear (more on that below) or what props, if any, you would like to include in your photos.
WHAT SHOULD I WEAR FOR MY PHOTO SESSION?
Generally, it is best to wear solid colors except for white or black. Graphics, busy patterns, and stripes should be avoided as they can be distracting. We want the focus to be on you, not your clothes. It’s also best to wear clothing that is relatively form-fitting, as opposed to articles of clothing that are excessively baggy, loose, or flowing. These styles can also be a distraction in the photo which takes the focus away from you and can be unflattering. Also, if it is breezy, clothing may blow or flap. Couples and families should consider wearing clothing that either loosely matches or complements each other in terms of color and style.
I am always willing to help with wardrobe decisions. Prior to your shoot, you may email me wardrobe ideas if you would like feedback or assistance. Wardrobe changes are allowed if the shooting location offers the privacy to do so. Please be conscious of time if planning to change wardrobes during the shoot. You may want to consider purchasing a package that includes more time for this purpose.
WHAT CAN I EXPECT ON THE DAY OF THE PHOTOSHOOT?
Not everyone is comfortable in front of a camera, so we’ll start slow. When we arrive on location, we will first settle into the shoot by taking a look at the surroundings and picking a place to start the first pose. Once in that spot, I will take some photos to get my camera adjusted during which you can relax. After that, we’ll go for the real thing! As the session goes on, you’ll get more comfortable. My goal is to capture genuine moments, not just perfectly posed smiles directly at the camera, through natural interaction between you and me and your partner, family, and/or pets. Natural smiles and laughter often produce the best photos whether you’re in the photo by yourself or with others. Finally, expect that not every photo will be of you looking into the camera. I like to capture details and interactions between people.

MY PHOTO SESSION IS OVER. WHEN WILL I RECEIVE MY EDITED PHOTOS? HOW WILL I RECEIVE THEM?
Please allow 1 – 2 weeks for me to edit and return your final photos. I want them to look amazing when you receive them!
Photos will be delivered as high-resolution JPGs. Simply put, they will be exactly what you need to post online or print amazing photos at home or through a photo printing service. For the techies—photos will be 300dpi with a resolution of 3600px by 2400px.
You will receive an online photo gallery of your final images. An invitation to view your gallery, share it with others, and download your photos will be emailed to you. Note: Photo galleries of family, couple, solo, and pet portrait sessions will be online and available for 60 days. Wedding, event, and commercial photography galleries will be online and available for 90 days. Be sure to download a copy of the photos to save in your own personal files before the gallery expires.
DO YOU OFFER PRINTS OR OTHER PHOTO PRODUCTS?
Yes, prints and photo products such as canvases and postcards are available. The gallery you will receive of your images after your photo session will have these products conveniently available for purchase directly from the gallery.
Digital downloads of your image gallery are available free of charge—they are included in the photo session fee. These downloads are high-quality, free of any logos or watermarks, and can be used for making your own prints.
CAN I POST MY PHOTOS ONLINE?
