Ashley and Doug drove from York to meet me at Longs Park in Lancaster for a one hour Couple Portrait Session. The pair were buzzing with excitement when they arrived. It was their first time having professional portraits taken together.
We chose Longs Park for it’s vast space and numerous trees. They couple wanted to capture photos with fall vibes including colorful leaves. Ashley and Doug came with a number of poses in mind, but we also explored the park and tried numerous things.
There’s something truly magical about autumn: the cool, crisp air, the warm golden light, and, of course, the vibrant palette of fall leaves. For couples, it’s an ideal season for a portrait session that captures the warmth and romance of their relationship. Fall sets the stage for cozy, intimate moments that bring out natural, candid smiles and laughter.
During this couples session, we took advantage of the colorful backdrop, letting the leaves create a tapestry of reds, yellows, and oranges that framed each shot.
We made sure to shoot at golden hour, when the soft, slanting light accentuated the colors and cast a gentle glow, adding to the dreamy atmosphere. The photos turned out rich and timeless, with each image telling a story of love, laughter, and the joy of being in the moment together.
