Isabel Lark [2023]

Isabel Lark is an accomplished pastel artist based in downtown Lancaster. I visited her at her beautiful home studio overlooking the center of the city to capture portraits and photos of a special art piece she had just completed. Isabel was tasked with creating artwork for Lancaster Theological Seminary’s annual Epiphany card. She in turn produced a stunning pastel drawing of a LTS’s Santee Chapel. Anyone familiar with LTS knows this iconic and beloved sanctuary which makes it perfect for this year’s card.

I have had the privilege of working with Isabel for several years. Her work is stunning and watching her process is such a joy. I captured her movements as she put the final touches on this year’s pastel work.
