LANCASTER THEOLOGICAL SEMINARY BACCALAUREATE & COMMENCEMENT, CLASS OF 2024
CHURCH OF THE APOSTLES UCC, LANCASTER, PA
Lancaster Theological Seminary’s Class of 2024 excitedly started their graduation day with a Baccalaureate Service at Santee Chapel. It was a joyful morning with songs and prayers. Students and faculty were all filled with excitement and ready to celebrate the Commencement Ceremony. The service was filled with reflection and song and a sermon delivered by retiring faculty member Dr. Thayer. Current student a musician Jenna Duranko added to the music with marimba performances.

Following the service and in keeping tradition, group photos were taken on the Lark Building steps of the graduating class and faculty. With the graduation falling on May 4th, the 2024 Class surprised and delighted with Star Wars lightsabers hidden up their sleeves awaiting their photo op! May the Fourth Be With You!

With the service and photos over, the graduates were eager for a snack and moment to relax in Mayer Commons before proceeding to the Church of Apostles for the commencement ceremony.

The joyous ceremony included a Commencement Address offered by another retiring faculty member, Dr. O’Brien after song and worship. And finally, the time all the graduates awaited and worked so hard for came—the presentation of candidates and conferring degrees!

Following the ceremony, the newly decorated graduates entered into the church lobby for hugs and congratulations from their loved ones.
