The Gausmann Family

Pastors and husband-wife duo Sally and Paul recently retired from St. Paul Lutheran Church in York, Pennsylvania. To celebrate them and their milestone, their children arranged for a family photoshoot. I met the family at the church to capture the images in a meaningful environment. Paul and Sally leave the church with a legacy of over two decades of service. Their children and grandchildren grew up alongside their congregation.

It was a blustery day, so we decided to take most of the photos in the sanctuary. It was a perfect spot though seeing as Paul and Sally spent many years together with their family here.

We did brave the cold for a brief time! It was important to capture a few photos of the Pastors in front of St. Paul’s iconic peak and windows which house the sanctuary.

We ended our session together with some photos behind the church in a small tree grove. After being patient for close to an hour, the kids were bursting at the seams to run around outside in the leaves!
