Wrightsville, PA
There’s something especially meaningful about photographing multiple generations together, and the Moore family session was a perfect example of that.
On a cold but beautiful Black Friday, we met at the Moore family’s VRBO in Wrightsville, Pennsylvania—a stunning waterfront property that offered the perfect backdrop for a large family gathering. To start the session, we stayed cozy indoors, gathering everyone around the warm fireplace for the first round of photos. It was the perfect way to ease into the shoot and keep everyone comfortable while capturing relaxed, natural moments.
This session brought together the full family: grandparents, their four adult children, all of the grandkids, and even the family dog. With a group this size, there’s always a wonderful mix of energy—laughter, movement, and those in-between moments that often become the most meaningful photographs.
Toward the end of the session, we briefly braved the cold and stepped outside to take advantage of the incredible waterfront views. Even with the chill in the air, the setting was worth it, adding a beautiful seasonal contrast to the warmth of the indoor images.
One of the highlights was capturing the genuine personalities within the group. One grandson made it very clear that smiling for photos was not high on his priority list that day—and honestly, that made his images even better. Those unfiltered expressions are often the ones families laugh about and treasure most as the years go by.
Photographing families like the Moores is a reminder of why these sessions matter. Years from now, these images won’t just show what everyone looked like—they’ll bring back the feeling of being together—starting by the fire and ending bundled up by the water—celebrating time spent as a family.
It was a pleasure documenting this moment for the Moore family, and I’m grateful to have been part of preserving their story.
