The Way Forward Campaign

Lancaster Theological Seminary, The Way Forward Campaign
Lancaster, PA

Around 50 of the major donors to Lancaster Theological Seminary’s The Way Forward campaign gathered in historic Lark Hall for the official unveiling of the wall plaque celebrating their generous support for Lancaster Theological Seminary.

The lead benefactor, with a gift of $3 million, was Ann B. Barshinger, after whom the campus is named.

After the unveiling, a dessert and champagne reception was held, with Chair of the Board of Trustees, the Rev. Dr. Betsy Miller, offering the toast. The Way Forward $6 million campaign helped to support campus repair and restoration including the renewal of Santee Chapel, advanced technology, and expand learning opportunities to prepare leaders for the future.

In remarks at the reception, Rev. Dr. Heather Vacek, Lancaster Seminary Dean and VP and Dean of Moravian Seminary, said, “Theological education is the work of many, and the support of individuals like each of you, and so many others, makes possible the continuation of Lancaster’s commitment to participation in God’s redemptive and liberating work so that all of creation may flourish.”
