Lancaster, PA
Chris wanted a portrait session that felt personal and authentic — not stiff or overly posed. The goal was to create images that reflected who he is and the things he genuinely enjoys: writing, playing piano, and strength training. By building the session around his interests and personality, the photos became more than just portraits; they became a snapshot of his everyday life and passions.
The session took place both inside Chris’s home and at a nearby park, giving us a mix of intimate indoor moments and relaxed outdoor portraits. Photographing in familiar spaces helped create a comfortable atmosphere where natural expressions could shine through. Some moments were filled with candid laughter and energy, while others captured quiet contemplation and focus. Alongside those in-between moments, we also created classic straight-to-camera portraits that feel confident, warm, and approachable.
One of the best parts of personalized portrait sessions is the ability to tailor every detail to the individual. Whether sitting at the piano, working through a writing idea, or lifting weights, each setting helped tell a different part of Chris’s story. The result is a collection of portraits that feels genuine, expressive, and uniquely his.
