Erin is a photographer, model, writer, poet, and web marketing professional currently based in Harrisburg, PA. We set out to explore Columbia, PA for unique locations for some portraits. Being already familiar with the area, I have no idea why I waited so long to do a photoshoot in Columbia. The area is full of character! We started out under the bridge that connects Columbia in Lancaster County to Wrightsville in York County, which seems to be locally famous, especially for its annual Bridge Bust event.

After leaving the cover of the bridge that was strategically sheltering us from the rain that started alongside our shoot, we were excited to find a random piece of antique farming equipment nearby.

Columbia is known as a destination for antique enthusiasts. The small town as numerous large antique markets including Bootleg Antiques, Tollbooth Antiques, Burning Bridge Antique Market, and Rivertowne Antique Center, all of which are housed in awesome, historic buildings.

If antiques aren’t your thing, don’t worry, because other great local attractions include a microbrewery called Columbia Kettle Works and Rocky’s BBQ.

I love all these kooky spots Erin and I found for these portraits. They really added a lot of flavor to the photos. Thanks for a great shoot, Erin!
