Miya
Lock 12, Holtwood, PA

I met Miya at Lock 12 on a Sunday. Lock 12 is a place she has loved and visited often for many years. The weather was looking very unpromising, but we decided to go for it anyway out of fear that if we missed our chance for these shots we wouldn’t get another.

Miya is a mom of three young girls, a photographer, and a model based in York, PA. We both wanted to explore capturing portraits with a moody and conceptual feel. The grey skies and fallen colorful leaves helped to set the mood as Miya bravely got into the cold water on a chilly day!

I’m so glad we pushed through the weather to capture these portraits! They are exactly what we had hoped to create. Thank you, Miya!
