Lancaster, PA
Some family portraits become even more meaningful because of the occasion that brings everyone together.
The Carr family gathered at their family home to celebrate two special milestones: Barbara’s 80th birthday and the Fourth of July. With three generations together in one place, it was the perfect opportunity to create updated family portraits that everyone could treasure for years to come.
During our hour together, we focused on a variety of posed groupings, from the full extended family to individual households, siblings, grandparents with grandchildren, and multiple generations together. Photographing these combinations while everyone is already gathered is a wonderful way to preserve relationships that continue to grow and change over the years.
Holding the session at the family home made the portraits even more personal. It’s a place filled with memories, making it a fitting backdrop for a celebration of family, tradition, and Barbara’s remarkable milestone.
Eighty years is an incredible achievement, and being surrounded by children, grandchildren, and loved ones made the celebration all the more special. It was an honor to help document this occasion and create portraits that the Carr family can enjoy and share for generations.
Happy 80th Birthday, Barbara, and thank you to the Carr family for inviting me to capture this special day.
